If we are doing a deep clean, a move-in/out clean, or any service on our full checklist, we handle all of it. Cleaning before we arrive is not required and is not something we expect.

What Actually Helps: A Simple Pre-Visit Checklist

These are the steps that genuinely make a professional cleaning visit more productive.

Clear personal items off countertops and tables. Dishes, mail, laptops, toiletries, and anything else sitting on a surface you want cleaned should be moved out of the way. This gives the crew access to the surfaces they need to clean.

Pick up clothing and items off the floor. Floor space needs to be accessible for vacuuming and mopping. Clothes, shoes, or other items on the floor slow the process and limit how thoroughly the crew can clean.

Secure pets. If you have dogs or cats, let us know at booking whether they will be in the home. Putting pets in a separate room or crate during the visit is helpful for both the animals and the cleaning team.

Communicate any specific priorities. If there is a room or area that needs extra attention, mention it at booking or in your booking notes. We work from a published checklist, but flagging priorities helps us allocate time where it matters most to you.

Confirm your entry instructions. Many Austin clients are not home during their cleaning. If that is you, confirm your lockbox code, garage entry details, or key arrangement before the visit. Entry information stays on file with our office, not with individual cleaners.

The property should be empty of furniture and belongings where possible. It is difficult to clean inside cabinets, behind appliances, and along baseboards when furniture is still in place.

Appliances should be accessible. Interior refrigerator and oven cleaning are common add-ons for move-out cleans. If these are included, make sure they are unplugged or turned off where needed.

Confirm any specific requirements from your landlord. If your lease or property manager has specific cleaning standards for deposit return, share those details when you book.

After the Visit: What to Do

Do a walkthrough before the cleaning team leaves if you are home. Check the areas that matter most to you.
